Nestled in its own grounds within the ancient walls of the City of York, the Merchant Taylors’ Hall is one of the most significant medieval buildings in this architecturally rich city and has been a place to congregate, feast, make music and make merry for more than 600 years.
Purple Chilli stepped in to save the day after we were let down by our original caterers so sadly we didn’t have time for a tasting before our Wedding day. However, from our first call Sarah put our minds at ease and reassured us they would do their best to match our original menu as closely as possible. She was also extremely helpful arranging alternatives for various dietary requirements and nothing was too much trouble. The food on the day was delicious, beautifully presented and our guests left very well fed!

Team did an amazing job with our wedding in Leeds. Have had so many guests comment how difficult it is to pull off pork belly at a wedding and they smashed it; all while also getting compliments that it’s the best vegetarian wedding food people have had. Purple Chilli recently catered for our wedding at Woolas Barn in Yorkshire. Our experience has been absolutely fantastic from start to finish, Sarah and the team have been wonderful to work with, very accommodating and responsive. Sarah and Mark helped us put together our menu with great suggestions and ideas and the food on the day was absolutely delicious, we had so many comments from our guests about how amazing the food and service was. If you’re looking for a caterer for your wedding then look no further. Purple Chilli did an outstanding job for us, the canapés and wedding breakfast were absolutely delicious. So many guests commented on how good the food was, the beef fillet main in particular and I had a couple of veggie friends say it’s the first wedding they’ve been to when the veggie option was an actual meal rather than an after thought. Lovely team to deal with, can’t recommend them enough!
